Consumer Appetite for Personal AI Goes Mainstream
Your next assistant is on your wrist. A Qualcomm survey of more than 12,000 people found around 70 percent want an AI assistant in their next device. The smartphone is no longer the centre; the AI is the interface. Watches, glasses, earbuds and rings work in concert, with the agent as the unifier. Sixty percent of wearable owners use AI at least weekly. The catch is trust: privacy, security and user control top the list of worries. The verdict is personally problematic: everyone wants an assistant that knows everything, as long as it tells no one.
