Bangladesh's 22 Teams Bring Home Blockchain and AI Honours from Hong Kong
Bangladesh sent 22 teams to Hong Kong. The world sent back applause.
The 6th Blockchain and AI Olympiad Bangladesh recognised its young innovators on 29 December 2025. Their international stage was IBCOL and IDSOL in Hong Kong, held from 29 to 31 October 2025. Twenty-two teams, nominated through BCOLBD, competed against the world and secured multiple awards.
The chief guest, Sheesh Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the ICT Division, handed over prize cheques to the winners. The ceremony also drew MIT professor Alan Edelman, BRAC vice-chancellor Syed Ferhat Anwar, and Paul Frost of the US Embassy in Dhaka. Support, in this case, arrived in person.
The headline winners tell the story in taka. GreyDevs of BUET took the championship award of Tk 150,000. HashWizards of the University of Rajshahi took gold in artificial intelligence, worth Tk 100,000. At IBCOL itself, The Pitchers of IUT won gold in the engineering division for SafePass.
The Olympiad is not a talent show, but rather a gateway to global competition. Since 2020 it has carried Bangladeshi students from Dhaka to the world stage. Bold, brilliant Bangladesh, now billing in blockchain.
