Freiburg's FLUX Factory Banks $300 Million
Freiburg just priced imagination at $3.25 billion.
Black Forest Labs announced a $300 million Series B on December 1, 2025, led by AMP and Salesforce Ventures, at a $3.25 billion post-money valuation. The round follows a previously unannounced Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz. Total funds raised now exceed $450 million.
The lab was founded in 2024 by the researchers behind latent diffusion and Stable Diffusion. Its FLUX family, including the recently released FLUX.2, ranks among the leading text-to-image models on Hugging Face, with tens of millions of downloads. Adobe, Canva, Deutsche Telekom and Meta have integrated FLUX into creative and enterprise workflows, alongside more than a dozen Fortune 500 enterprises.
The round is not a bet on pictures, but rather a bet on perception. The money will accelerate research and development, hiring and infrastructure, as the team builds multimodal models that unify perception, generation and reasoning. A small German lab is now at the frontier, with fresh capital behind it.
